The History Behind the Maurice Lacroix Men's Watch
Maurice Lacroix has been manufacturing watches in Saignelégier, Switzerland for over 40 years. The history of the brand dates back to 1975 when the company Desco von Schulthess presented the first watch under the name Maurice Lacroix. In 1990, the unique Calypso collection by Maurice Lacroix was already released. Two years later, the brand presented the 1st Masterpiece Cinq Aiguilles to the world. In 1999, the first Calendrier Retrograde Maurice Lacroix men's watch was introduced. In the same year, production had to be expanded to meet demand. In 2003, the first Double Retrograde was presented. Three years later, the first in-house manufactured mechanical caliber by Maurice Lacroix, designated ML-106, was presented. In 2010, the Masterpiece Square Wheel Maurice Lacroix men's watch was presented. A few years later, the Masterpiece Mysterious Second and the Masterpiece Gravity were presented. The year 2016 was marked by the comeback of the legendary Calypso in the form of the AIKON. Two years later, the AIKON Automatic was presented as a Maurice Lacroix men's watch. Over time, the brand has earned an excellent reputation through its high demand for perfection and innovation. Maurice Lacroix always remains true to the tradition of a high standard of watchmaking craftsmanship and continues to produce excellent and high-quality watches to this day. Innovative design, patented technology as well as quality and reliability characterize the brand to this day.
