The History of Bulova Men's Watches
The Bulova brand was founded in 1875 by Joseph Bulova, an immigrant from Bohemia, in New York. At that time, Bulova men's watches were the pioneering classics of American watchmaking. Since the time when Joseph Bulova opened his first Bulova men's watch store on Maiden Lane in Manhattan, he showcased his vision of timekeeping that was unique and groundbreaking for that era.
From 1912 to 1983, the watches were manufactured in the assembly and finishing factory in Biel, Switzerland. In 1931, Bulova introduced the world's first electric watch with tuning fork technology. This technology is still used in some watches, such as the Bulova men's watch collection Accutron.
From 1960 to 1970, Bulova watches were involved in various NASA missions. During this time, the Bulova men's watch Lunar Pilot was released, which an astronaut wore on his wrist during the Apollo 15 mission to the moon and made the watch world-famous.
