U-Boat – A New Dimension of Time
The story of U-Boat begins in 1942, when Ilvo Fontana received a commission from the Italian Navy to design a watch that would remain highly legible and nearly indestructible under any condition.
Although the project was never completed, decades later his grandson Italo Fontana discovered the original plans and transformed them into reality in the year 2000.
Inspired by his love for the ocean and his fascination with raw natural power, Italo created watches that reflect bold design and strong personality.
