Max Bill designed the line together with Junghans in 1961. The case has remained almost unchanged since. At 34.0 millimetres across and 9.0 millimetres high this version is one of the most restrained models in the family.
It is driven by the J805.1 hand winding movement with 42 hours of power reserve. Whoever wears it winds it every morning. The matt silver plated dial carries the minute track drawn specifically for the line, and hands and track are coated with environmentally friendly luminous material.

Do I have to wind the watch every day?
Yes. A hand winding movement has no rotor and stores 42 hours here. If you wear it daily it is best wound each morning at the same time.
Is 34 millimetres not too small for a mens watch?
The line is deliberately restrained and this size is chosen by men and women alike. Anyone who prefers more presence will find the same design at 38 millimetres.
Why is there no seconds hand and no date?
The design principle of the line calls for the smallest possible number of elements. This version shows hours and minutes only.
How often does the movement need a service?
For a mechanical movement we recommend a service every five to seven years depending on wear. We handle that through our own workshop.
