The Seiko Prospex SRPH17K1 comes from the Land line and is made for the route overland. The stainless steel case measures 42 mm, and the rotating bezel carries a compass scale that allows a rough bearing to be taken against the position of the sun. The black sunray dial sits beneath sapphire crystal, with LumiBrite on the hands and indices. Inside is the 4R35 automatic movement with 23 jewels and around 41 hours of power reserve, with hand winding and a stop seconds function. A screw-down crown, a screw case back and 20 bar water resistance keep it robust, and the steel bracelet closes with a secure folding clasp.
