The Seiko Prospex SNE599P1 carries a hard coating on case and bracelet, so it still looks the part after many dives. The case measures 41 mm across and 11.3 mm high, and the unidirectional bezel marks off the dive time. The black dial sits beneath sapphire crystal and carries LumiBrite on the hands and indices. The V157 solar calibre draws its energy from light, runs for around ten months on a full charge and needs no battery change. With a screw case back, a screw-down crown and 20 bar water resistance it is built for diving, and the folding clasp has both a safety catch and an extension.
