The Speedtimer Automatic is a tribute to the automobile classics of the seventies. The light blue dial picks up characteristic paintwork of those years and gives the watch a tone found nowhere else in the Prospex range.
It is driven by the 6R55 calibre with bidirectional automatic winding through the Magic Lever and more than 72 hours of power reserve. It can also be wound by hand. The rotating inner ring works as a countdown timer and is set through the second crown.

How does it differ from the HBC004J1?
Technically in nothing. This reference carries a light blue dial on the steel bracelet, the HBC004J1 a blue grey dial on a black leather strap.
What does the rotating inner ring do?
It is a countdown timer. You set it to an interval through the second crown, for example until the start of a race or for the duration of a pit stop.
How long does the watch run when not worn?
The 6R55 calibre stores more than 72 hours, so a good three days. Winding works in both directions and can also be done by hand.
Is the case scratch resistant?
It carries a hard coating on the stainless steel that is considerably more resistant than bare steel. Above it sits domed sapphire crystal with an internal anti reflective coating.
