Grand Prix White is what Seiko calls this tone. The silver white dial with its dark subdials quotes the classic panda chronograph and reads as clean and immediately legible.
The watch is driven by the V192 solar calibre. Fully charged it supplies energy for up to six months and battery changes are eliminated. The stopwatch measures up to 60 minutes in fifths of a second and can take split times.

What does a panda dial mean?
A bright background with dark subdials. The pattern comes from the racing chronographs of the sixties and makes the displays easy to tell apart.
Do I ever need to change a battery?
No. The V192 solar calibre charges through the dial. Fully charged the watch keeps running for up to six months, even without further light.
What is the tachymeter scale on the bezel for?
It converts a timed run over a known distance into an average speed. The two tone aluminium bezel quotes the Speedtimer archive in doing so.
How large does the watch wear?
The case measures 41.4 millimetres across at 13.0 millimetres high. From lug to lug it is 45.9 millimetres and the bracelet tapers towards the clasp.
