Altimeter and compass 10,000 meters: Higher than any mountain on earth
The PROMASTER altimeter can measure from -300 meters to 10,000 meters above sea level - higher than any mountain on earth. Once activated, the altimeter continuously measures your altitude for five minutes and then provides automatic readings every three minutes for the next 12 hours, allowing you to fully concentrate on climbing without having to perform any additional operations. All important information is displayed in analog and non-digital format, so there is no need to switch from the important time display to check altitude or orientation.
Cold protection down to -20°C. Defies even ice-cold wind on the mountain top
If you are exposed to extreme winds on the top of a mountain, you can experience unimaginable cold. But no matter how extreme the conditions, as a climber you need access to time and altitude information. For PROMASTER we created an ultra-cold environment in which we carried out extensive verification tests. There we successfully demonstrated that the watch's altimeter and compass continue to work correctly even at -20°C. You can rely on this professional sports watch even in harsh and cold regions.
Eco-Drive and altimeter or depth gauge? No problem thanks to CITIZEN
's unique IC technologyEco-Drive is equipped with an ultra-low-power microcomputer that controls the altimeter and depth gauge. When one of them is activated, the microcomputer analyzes the information from the sensor, converts it into depth or height data and then transmits the relevant data to the user using rotating pointers. In addition, the microcomputer controls the clock and checks battery voltage, amount of energy produced and temperature. While we deliberately use a low clock speed processor, the real reason it can perform so many processes simultaneously is due to the expertise CITIZEN has developed in reducing Eco-Drive's power consumption.
