Ilvo Fontana, a skilled worker for precision instruments, received a prestigious commission from the Italian Navy. He was tasked with designing a new watch for their pilots. This challenge should meet the Navy's high quality standards and very precise technical specifications, but above all it should ensure maximum visibility and reliability in all situations Guarantee light or weather conditions. However, unfortunate circumstances did not allow this at the time. In 2000, Italo Fontana, Ilvo's grandson, came across the precious designs that became his inspiration for the first U-Boat watch.
