On the GST-B1000-2A the dial is finished in blue by vapour deposition. The shade shifts with the light, so the watch looks slightly different at every glance. A stainless steel bezel and a black urethane band form the calm frame around it.
Technically it is identical to its black sibling: slim, powered by Tough Solar and connected to the smartphone over Bluetooth. The time sets itself and the battery never needs replacing.

What defines the G-Steel line?
G-Steel combines the protective build of a G-Shock with visible metal. The bezel is stainless steel and the core case is made of shock absorbing material, so the watch stays tough while looking far more urban than a pure resin G-Shock.
Do I need to change the battery?
No. The GST-B1000 runs on Tough Solar and charges through the dial. A power saving function keeps it ready even after a longer time in the dark.
What does the Bluetooth link add?
The watch connects to the CASIO WATCHES app and sets time and date automatically, including when you change time zone. World time and alarms can also be set comfortably on the phone.
How water resistant is it?
It is water resistant to 20 bar and the crown is screw locked. Scuba diving is still not approved.
